Tune Into Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are the perfect partners for fuss free cooking – in fact they demand it. Undiluted by long cooking times, their natural flavors burst forth with nourishment at its best. If you hear anyone say that they just don’t like vegetables, for instance, and won’t even try them, you can bet that somewhere along the line (usually in childhood) someone made them eat an array of overcooked produce all resembling some flavorless mush, devoid of any life because it was steamed away. No wonder so many kids and later adults hate vegetables. Sure steaming is easy but so is a quick sauté of practically any vegetable, tossed with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, maybe some garlic and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Which would you rather eat?
